About Carolyn

Carolyn Hapgood has worked in the counselling field since 1992, with adolescents and adults. As her career and education evolved, she realized that the body also has a “story” to tell in relation to stress, tension, emotional management and trauma. Personal “Experience”/Lifestyle:

On a personal note, I love being in nature.  My lifestyle includes healthy food, priority of good quality sleep, yoga, meditation, and outdoor activities (camping, fly fishing, biking, hiking, kayaking, paddle boarding).  I spend a lot of time with my dog and in my 1972 Volkswagen bus.  I enjoy travelling, adventures, retreats, training/learning, exploring, and socializing with my husband, family and friends.  During the Fall and Winter months however, I can be found curled up reading textbooks.  Yes.  Textbooks.  My reading interests vary and include neuroscience, quantum physics, yogic philosophy, anything regarding energy & energy healing, spirituality, all things medical, all body systems, trauma responses, somatic experiencing, Polyvagal Theory, meditation concepts, the latest on therapy techniques and exploring consciousness.  My passion for learning is enormous, and I continue to read and study extensively.

The body’s intelligence and wisdom are fascinating to me.  The more I bring science and spirituality together, the more connections I make.

My mission has always been to develop our community to be healthy and safe. My main love and passion is helping others to understand their mind, body and energetic connections. It is definitely my life’s purpose.
